My Hand-painted Collection
The n’Capsule collection was born from a personal need to slow down, reconnect, and find the quiet joy that comes from being outdoors with no agenda. Wandering without a destination—just letting curiosity lead—brings me a calm I can’t find anywhere else. These pieces are my way of bottling up those feelings and moments, and sharing them with others.
What is an n’Capsule Piece?
Each piece starts with a tiny hand-painted scene or treasure - done in pencil and paint, drawn from my own memories, and field notes, or perhaps yours! Making them feels a bit like being a botanist out in the wild - collecting small, sacred specimens. But instead of pressing plants into pages, I seal my other love of illustrating under glass and set them in hand-formed bezels!
I'm enjoying borrowing design influence for this collection, from old compasses and pocket watches - tools once helping folks find their way, or hold onto time! I like to think these n'Capsule pieces do something similar, in their own quiet way. They carry that spark of wonder, and sense of place. A reminder to keep noticing, to stay curious, and to keep a bit of the wild close...
Inspired by Fieldwork & Specimens
Creating each piece lets me geek-out and feels a bit like being a field botanist—gathering tiny, meaningful specimens from the natural world. Except instead of pressing plants into books, I preserve moments: an alpine mountain pass, a cool mushroom, a cherished beach, all from our memories. Each n’Capsule is a wearable time capsule, made to keep a piece of the wild close!
What’s Ahead
As I write this, the collection has started as pendants —made to be worn close to the heart. But the collection is growing. I’m currently developing new designs to include rings, earrings, and other wearable forms, so you can carry these talismans of special places and time whenever, wherever.
Making More Accessible
Along with custom n’Capsule commissions, and those from my own adventures, I’m considering a third approach to an n’Capsule piece for folks!
Because original paintings obviously take time and care, I’m creating a version using high-quality prints of my artwork, too. These will also be sealed under glass and set by hand—just with a price point that widens the accessibility!
Whether it’s an original or a printed piece, every n’Capsule is made to hold something more than just an image. It’s a keepsake for your curiosity. A reminder to stay rooted, to notice the world around you, and to keep a little of that wild, openhearted feeling with you—always.
