Native Blooms

Summer 2026

I spent time studying two familiar Colorado natives: Columbine + Indian Paintbrush. I painted each slowly, paying attention to their distinct forms, colors, and small details—the delicate cool tones of Columbine beside the brighter, wilder shape of Indian Paintbrush. These studies became both a record of what caught my eye and a starting point for the pieces that followed at the bench.
