Under the Aspens grew from time spent noticing the small details that make these trees so unmistakable and curious— pale trunks covered in "eyes", fluttering leaves, layered greens, and shifting light beneath the canopy. I carried those observations into a painted field study, then back to the bench with young specimen, where Aspen leaves and textures became part of the silver pieces that followed!
